Little update

Well winter is surely in full swing here and we are just about getting our feet on the ground and looking forward to the Xmas break! I know you are thinking that we are having a 6 month break anyway but there is something special about Xmas isn't there! it's a lovely time and especially if you don't have to go back to work after! Nice!
We've had a nice few days, been out and about a little.
We went for a couple of drinks at tha Apollo Alykes with Paul and Brenda and Marion and Paul and a few others and because we are not used to drinking so much we both got a little worse for wear! I was OK on the beer but Dimitris insisted on me having another so I had a whisky and then another! and the size of the measures over here!!!! Well anyway! you can guess the rest!
Friday we had a charity event at the Kaki Raki where many of the locals do a little spot! I had been roped in to a small unrehearsed sketch and must say it was fun! but I'm no actor and I don't think I will be pestered to do the Panto anymore! But some of the acts were excellent!

Singers and guitarists

Old time music hall classics! like this hole in my bucket sketch with a twist! A bit of a Scottish twist! like "a hale in my pail" or something like that, but very funny it was!

Some Geisha Girls! this one is Sharon and Wayne who kept bending over and lifting his gown! Fishnets and a thong! My word! not a pretty sight!

Daisy Daisy they sang to our Paul dressed as, well, as a daisy!
The organiser and Birthday girl Josie was tributed with a well deserved round of applause and some flowers!

Well done to all. It was a great evening and lucky for me it finished early as it was off to the town to La Grange to sing with Last Stand! in typical Greek style it was a late start and the band kicked off with some Greek rock and then it was my turn to blast a few numbers with the band.
We haven't played together for some time now so it was nice to be back in the front again!
Although I am really happy that we are still playing together after 6 years or so, it is difficult to give it as much time as I would like at the moment but we are experienced enough to just get out there and play! Our set was quite limited as we haven't rehearsed enough and we'd like to add some new stuff to the list!
The guys do a Greek rock set when I'm not available and it was handy as a fill in on Friday.
The band played well and we seem to be back on track! so to speak!
Saturday night it was Girls night out. They all went to the Chindian and had a great meal. Afterwards I popped up to Sakisfaction Bar to find them all in there too, having a few wines to finish off the night.
Zues bar isn't open this winter so it is a good time for Sakis to open his bar above the Chindian again!
It's a nice bar with a good atmosphere and I will be using it again!

Sunday was BBQ time at Mel's! all the usual crowd were there and of course, we had a great time too! Plenty of booze and some great grub cooked by Lenny, who will be cooking for all at the new place so he needs the practice!

The Girls! Sitting and relaxing with a drink

And the guys! as usual! cooking and hanging around the BBQ! It's the only way!

It's a really nice day today 19 degs on the porch but a little breezy out of it!

Great stuff! Speak soon!

Enjoy your break, you two. We went to a farm shop up our way yesterday, and I thought of you when I saw the Buckfast hot chilli sauce! I'll be putting a wee bottle in my case in June. Canarian Christmas for us again, so looking forward to some sun. X
