17 days and counting down hard now for our first visit of the Season, nearly always kick off first night with Shortie's Beef Stifado with extra baby onions beautiful dish.

Brisket was just a memory to me from childhood days cooked by my mum on cold rainy Winter days with all the windows steamed up about 50 years ago. I had never really eaten it since those days but tried Shortie's a couple of years ago and my God how good is it, will be eating it again next month.

Shortie really does pick out cracking cuts of meat and together with his great gravy veg and mash this really makes for a gorgeous meal.
