Hello All / Shortie I am due to visit Alykanas for the 6th time in September but this time I was thinking about stretching my wings a bit & hiring a quad bike, any idea on how much a weeks hire would cost & any recommendations for a decent hire company? Any info will be gratefully received.

Just be aware that if you intend going touring on the quad and there are two of you always hire a bigger engined unit as the smaller ones really struggle to get up the bigger hills especially in the mountains. It's no fun pushing one of these up an endless hill in 40C

Thanks Lowie & Tony, much appreciated. Good tip about the engine size as we was going to go two up & I tip the scale at about 16st on my own. Has anybody got any idea on costs because I don't want to be short on spending money? Thanks again.

Budget on around 20 euro/day for a decent sized one, small 50cc you should get for around 15 euro/day, but they're only good for running around on the flat, haggle hard with cash for the best deal !!!!!

Thanks Tony, I think the larger engine will be the way to go as I was thinking about a day trip to Tsivili possibly rather than just pootling between Alykanas, Alykes & Katistari.
Thanks for all the advice, Shortieweb to the rescue.

But this is still a grey area right now, and I believe you need a motorcycle endorsement to ride them...
