I know it isn't everything but it is a start. Jet2 are now flying to Zante from Leeds/Bradford and Manchester terminal 1.
It has been suggested already that flghts are a little expensive by a few of you looking but if you percivere you can find some cheapies. Talking to someone who paid £73 each way yesterday.
When things settle I'm sure plenty of good prices will be available and we need a flight outlet from the North of England and maybe Scotland too in the future. This opens doors and maybe will make other airlines keen to add Zante to their destination list.
At the moment we are in the middle of a heatwave here on the island and man it is hot. This season the lack of a breeze makes it feel twice as hot as it usually feels which is nice if you are by the sea, or a pool. The hard bit is in the evenings. Sweat!! well I thought you were supposed to lose weight if you sweat! it's not working for me! And guess what!! they are forecasting 45 degs tomorrow. The beach for me matey!! Salad as a special! Less cooking!
Brian has posted some great piccies on the gallery, Tonybax too. Take a look. Still waiting for Rab_C's piccies though. C'mon Rab, I know you are busy, but !!!!!

Cosy Special Last Night - Saturday is now Steak night. Our butcher now has one cow a week form which I have the pick of the meat! Fantastic for me. Brian and Denise over the other week, Brian being a butcher, came along with me to meet my butcher here Paniotis. They swapped some general info about how things and Brian covered some typical British cuts. I now have fantastic quality, Rump, Fillet and Sirloin in great quantities and man! they are selling like hot steaks! Not forgetting our famous 20oz Brezola! And as you can imagine, the best prices around! 11.90 for a 9oz Fillet steak meal! Bargansville Arizona!
Yesterdays Weather - Hot! A sizzling 41 degs, felt like 55! Swim time
Exchange rate in the resorts - 1.18e.
ATM Watch - All working and operational.
If you are coming over - Darjeeling Teabags, Horlicks, Please and Marmite. Thanks.
Big Tony has informed me that the cash machines are displaying exchange rates a lot lower than they should be. His showed 1.16 but he got 1.24 as arranged with his bank. To be sure, please check with your bank what rate you will get and also set a daily withdrawal amount.
Mossie Watch - Average for the time of year! But not a problem to those who wear mossie stuff

Note - Also, please remember to bring your EHIC card and read our advise on our "Coming here on holiday" Page.
Note - Please do not take any notice of the scaremongering about the Euro bailout at the momment. The transition will take months probably a year! not over night, and why would you believe that you cant change Euros to whatever the new currency will be! Do you think that Greece will not accept the Euro. No! The whole thing is rediculous.
Enjoy your well earned holiday and leave the worring to the politicians!
Note - Another thing! please bring sun lotion and creams with you. You will pay up to 20 euros for sun lotion here. Tesco or Asda must be better.
