Well the season is nearly upon us and the locals are starting to prep there bars and restaurants, me included, the rumours are already circulating about who's opening what and who's not. We're making a few changes to the Cosy Corner, nothing drastic but a few upgrades.
We're making the canopy area more watertight for the latter part of the season. last year we had a bit of water around customers feet after heavy rainfall. Lucky enough, it did not rain too much. Also, we will be able to close the area off on October nights and put the patio heaters on for the cooler evenings.
We are going to add a few bits to the kiddies play area and most importantly for us, is a further kitchen upgrade and some new equipment.
We will be offering a great entertainment package this year. Live music at least 2 times a week a BBQ night and a quiz night or 2 with a difference. We will be offering a great range of cocktails this year and it goes without saying, the freshest finest food possible.
We will be dropping many prices and offering even more for your already unbeatable breakfast.
We are improving our take-out service by offering fish & chips and a local delivery service.
Although I love sport and I am a great football fan, the Cosy Corner still remains a no TV Zone. Those that do not want to watch the world cup can come and enjoy a drink meal or snack away from the footie and of course we will be open as usual after the big games for those that want to eat after the match.
We are looking at another business in Alykanas. Following the success of Mac's, our Burger bar in Alykes, a joint venture with Pavlos & Wendy, I want to open one in Alykanas. A slightly bigger restaurant offering the same homemade burger range as mac's and Fish & Chips too. The afternoons we will offer cream teas and pasties for those on their way back from the beach and needing light refreshment. It probably wont be open this year but we hope for next.
Tonight the band are playing live at Stroffi in the town and Saturday giannis and I are playing a plugged set at the Sugarbush Alykes and the following Saturday the band play live at Breeze bar Tsilivi, so plenty of singing the next 2 weeks.
Well, the sun is shining and as usual we are having to work through it, but it's nice, you can feel summer coming.
