Winter is finally here! Yes, it's reached us, it's wet, windy and bloody cold and the forecast looks the same for at least a week, so it's out with the woollies and on with the heating and i'm thinking of stew and dumplings! must be cold. Average temps around 12 degs. Brrrr. I know it's colder in the UK, but we're not used to it.

We!! great news, after all the speculation, Easyjet is actually flying to Zakynthos. From what I can make out, they are flying 4 days a week from Gatwick, Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

The flights probably dont seem Easyjet cheap, but never are when coming to smaller destinations, but if you shop carefully and early of course, there are some bargains to be had. Yesterday we found return flights for a family of 4 in July for under 500 quid. We found many others too, but some were not so cheap, choosing the right day was important, look around the dates that you are looking to fly, it can make a big difference.

The Easyjet lines were buzzing with bookings to Zante yesterday. Let's hope it keeps up, it has to be good for the island. The airline will have it's sceptics, but at least all apartment owners that have been starved of holiday makers because of the lack of flights the past couple of years can now see a light at the end of the tunnel.

It's still worth shopping around as Thomson, Thomas Cooke, Monarch and even Olympic still have some competetive prices, and I think maybe this bit of competition may even help to keep these other companies prices keen. Fingers crossed.

i know of a few good apartments to rent, so if you are looking, please let me know and I'll send you some details. I'm hoping to show a few of these on the site, but they already have a keen interest, maybe it's first day madness eh!

This weekend we are opening Plastik Macs for a couple of hours a day. Tonight we are having Chip shop night, tomorrow it is classic burgers and Sunday we are doing take out Roast dinner. we will open from 4 til 8 each day and see how it goes. Not many people are spending this winter so I dont think we'll make much but it will give Macs a run around the block.

Giannis the bands guitarist and I are doing an acoustic thing in a few bars soon. We start in the Sugarbush on Feb 13th. We will be playing in the summer at a few bars after work, but the Cosy will host our set at least twice a week. Lucky punters!! lol.
