Alykes at night. Not often we get here after work. These pics are about 1am and there are still a good few people about. I suppose we should make more effort, but we're often just too knackered and need to get home.
We decided to give Spikey's bar a look. Had a really nice time. Great bar and location. The crossroads seems a little different since losing Jungle Bar and even Spikey say's that he misses it. It added a little something that sort of made it the centre of the village, but! still lively and a great spot and still the centre!
Spikey is a great character and people come back here time after time to sample some of his unique whit.
Spikey and Kaylie keep you watered and entertained during your visit and he will tell you his cocktails are the best, but let's face it, which cocktail bar owner wouldn't!! I tasted a couple and I'm no expert, but they were good!
Dodgey geezers!!
Fidelios across the road, still serving at 1am, can't be bad. This ever popular restaurant keeps pumping good reviews and is also a great placeto people watch.
Relax in the background still going too! Some fine establishments that we highly recommend you visit whilst staying in the area.
This is Nikos for those that don't know. He is opening the old Red Lemon Bar this week after a long paperwork battle trying to get his licence, but all systems go now. The bar is now called Lions Bar, dedicated to British customers. Give him a look if you are in the area he is such a nice guy and we should give him a bit of support in his new venture. I'm sure it will be another great spot in Alykes.
This unusual array of decoration caught my eye and left me wondering "why does Spikey display this selection of his rather uncomfortable looking underwear above his bar"!! I suppose it is handy incase of certain accidental situations!!
Anyway, thanks for a nice evening guys and good luck for the rest of the summer.
Sadly Leaving Us.
Wiggy! leaving us after 2 weeks that seem like 1. Hope you enjoyed your stay Wiggy it was great having you over and great to see you again. Didn't have a lot of time but had a couple of nights out.
Incoming!
From shortieweb and staying at The Pothos Alykes Patrick and Donna walked all the way over to see us and stay for a meal. Really nice people and unlike some people, introduced themselves to me. I've just had a Trip Advisor review moaning that I never spoke to a shortieweb user. They said they were there for 2 hours and we weren't busy and I never even made eye contact with them! Well Sometimes I am pre-occupied and busy in mind, I always ask for members to introduce themselves. We 1000's of customers every year and I don't say hi to all of them, but I try when I can. I'm sorry if I missed you and as a result I got a crap review. God bless Trip Advisor! Don't forget, you never said hi to me. I wish there was a Trip Advisor for customers!!
Mellisa is back! we're in for some fun the next fortnight. She's a right character and makes us smile. Really nice family who come back and stay at the Alykanas Beach every year.

Do you think that Greece will not accept the Euro. No! The whole thing is rediculous.
Enjoy your well earned holiday and leave the worring to the politicians!
