Appeal (Again. Sorry)

Posted by shortie on July 3, 2012 at 3:30 AM

Heading towards Marmite meltdown. If you have room and you are coming over, please pick me up some Marmite, the large plastic ones are favourite although I won't be turning my nose up at any. Other than that, still need Darjeeling Tea bags for our winter treat. Thanks to all that have brought us stuff. If you bring Tesco toothpaste, you know the sensitive cheapie, I'll snatch your hand off and still could do with a couple of packs of those Bic double blade sensitive skin razors. I have quite a few, but it would be great to get enough to last the winter.
I will insist on paying for anything you bring so please don't be offended when I refuse stuff as a gift. I appreciate it, but it makes me feel guilty asking if we can't pay. Also, don't forget, if you have any ladies mags that you have read on your journey, Jules would like a read after! cheers.
Got a busy one today, so I will be brief! -ish,
Thanks to these guys for visiting us over the last few weeks, sad to see you go. Hoping we see you again next year.

Fiona with mum and Dad again this year. Really nice family and always in a happy mood, it makes your day when you have happy people here, and these guys just get on with it.

Claire M. it seems a month since her Mum arrived and then their holidays were staggered, but Clair's holiday seems to have flown by. great people, we will always look forward to seeing them.

Back again this year and going already, Brian and Sue. Again, you know when these guys are walking down your path, it's an easy to please couple. Lovely to see you again this year.

Arriving yesterday, and thanks for the goodies guys! Claire (121) and Paul. very nice people. The kids we haven't met yet as they were at the kids club at the Alykanas Village, but sure was a pleasure to meet Mum and Dad. Claire and Paul come from Scotland and were here I think she said about 3-4 years ago. Hope you enjoy it as much as you did then.
Well, we had our first Fast and Furious T-Rex challenge yesterday. We had been let down by a customer who said he would aet the standard challenge easily. Don't know what happened, but these guys had been n every night, hope everything was alright.
We told Rob about it and he said, "I'll have a go" so he did. He chose the Fast and Furious burger only challenge, which had to be eaten in just 20 minutes, weighing in at around 2 and a half pounds. (not Rob, the Burger)

To be fair, without preperation ad having eaten 2 meals already that day, it was a massive task to eat the T-Rex. We are not weighing the remains of the Fast and Furious, we will update the page with a Winner or Loser Badge. The price is the same, if you lose, 14.90 for the meal, if you win, the meal is free.

The look on Robs face say's it all. To be fair, he had a bloody good go at it considering the circumstances and he carried on eating after time up. On a good day I think he would have a good chance. i believe this is a fair challenge with a better chance for the customer to win the free meal.
Giannis and I are playing at Planet in Tsilivi tonight. Come along if you can.
Cosy Special Last Night - Beef Stifado, Oven Pots and Veg Briam

Yesterdays Weather - Hot! 40 degs
Exchange rate in the resorts -
1.18e. Don't know why, but up a bit again. Still lower that the UK
ATM Watch - All working and operational.

Big Tony has informed me that the cash machines are displaying exchange rates a lot lower than they should be. His showed 1.16 but he got 1.24 as arranged with his bank. To be sure, please check with your bank what rate you will get and also set a daily withdrawal amount.

Mossie Watch - The little buggers a nipping!  But not a problem to those who wear mossie stuff

If you are going to celebrate a birthday or any event at the Cosy Corner and you would like us to organise a Bananagram or a Blobbygram or even a cake, just click contact me and message me.

Note - Also, please remember to bring your EHIC card  and read our advise on our "Coming here on holiday" Page.

Note - Please do not take any notice of the scaremongering about the Euro bailout at the momment. The transition will take months probably a year! not over night, and why would you believe that you cant change Euros to whatever the new currency will be! Do you think that Greece will not accept the Euro. No! The whole thing is rediculous.

Enjoy your well earned holiday and leave the worring to the politicians!

Note - Another thing! please bring sun lotion and creams with you. You will pay up to 20 euros for sun lotion here. Tesco or Asda must be better.
